A minimum of 30 full-fare guests is required. This tour can be operated originating in Orlando and ending in D.C., or it can originate in D.C. and end in Orlando. However, due to some of the sites or restaurants being closed on Sunday and or Monday, the Orlando to D.C. tour must depart on a Monday. The D.C. to Orlando tour must depart on a Thursday.
The rate for most departure dates is $1,799 per person, double occupancy. (Add a $500 premium for a single room.) However, if the tour departs during a peak season, the rate could increase significantly more. The Group Leader will receive one complimentary package.
It is the group organizer’s responsibility to collect all payments and to pay the deposit and full payments with one check. The check should be mailed to reach GateWay Tours by the Deposit Due Date and the Final Payment Due Date, respectively.
This is a land only package, but airport transfers will be provided for your group. Your flights should arrive at the appropriate airport no later than 4:00pm.
For the comfort of the passengers, we request that your groups be limited to no more than 42 passengers.
Individuals may want to come earlier to visit local sites on their own. For example, they may want to arrive in Orlando on a Friday before joining the group on Monday, so they can visit Disney World. Or they may want to spend more days in Washington DC to visit the Smithsonian museums and other sites in the City on their own. However, it will be up to the individuals to make those arrangements.
The hotels we use in Orlando provide free shuttles to the Disney Properties, but not airport transfers. However, they will provide the phone number for local taxi’s or Uber. The hotels we use in the D.C. area will be determined by which airport the group flies into.
A deposit of just $375pp is due 60 days from Group Contract date or at the time of Reservation. Best of all, the deposits are fully refundable up to 95 days before departure. All payments are to be payable with one check, cashier’s check or money order. For new reservations within 95 days of departure, contact GateWay Tours to verify availability.
Final payment is due 95 days prior to trip departure.
If the entire group reservation is cancelled by 75 days prior to trip departure, there will be no penalty. If the entire group cancels within 75 days of trip departure, there will be a $500 penalty.
Cancellations within 95 days of departure will forfeit $375 (per person) deposit plus any non-recoverable charges.
Preliminary Room List
A preliminary Room List is due 95 days prior to departure.
Final Room List
A final Room List is due 14 days prior to departure. On the Room List please make a note of those who have walking difficulties, so the hotel can be notified. Also, if anyone requires a wheelchair accessible motorcoach, that should be mentioned at the time their reservation is made.
Moderate walking (mostly level)
This is a fully escorted tour.
